SoSimple Announces Improvements to Form Builder Registration Options
December 2nd, 2020
SoSimple Interactive, developer of SoSimple CMS, has announced the release of an update to the registration and limit enforcing capabilities of their Form Builder page type.
Previously, form submissions could only be limited within the Registration Settings section of the Form Settings on any Form Builder page, which made it difficult for multiple events to be individually limited within a single form.
With a newly released update to the Form Builder page type, clients now have the ability to limit uses of multiple field options or events within a single form, individually. The new advanced setting "Do you want to enforce a limit on how many times the options for this field can be selected?" now appears for any field created with the Dropdown Select Options, Dropdown Multi-Select Options, Radio Button Select Options, or Checkbox Select Options field types.
Illustrated in the image above, when this new advanced setting option is set to "Yes", a second new advanced settings appears, allowing you to automatically add quantity field options associated with the field options of your original limited use question.
Illustrated below, when setting the options for this dropdown, radio button, or checkbox field, an available "Max Uses" field, allows you to set the max number of registration slots, and an additional option to create a conditional Quantity Field.
Clicking the "Add New Field" option allows you to create a dropdown menu of attendee/registrant number options, and optionally associate price adjustments with each number of attendees/registrants (if there is a registration fee per person). Illustrated below, a window will appear with all necessary options pre-filled. Simply choose the max number of uses available in the quantity field, then click Submit to create the option-specific quantity question. This field syncs with the Max Uses field so as to properly restrict the number of attendees/registrants per event.
This update is now available on all SoSimple CMS accounts that include the Form Builder page type.
